Technology Accessibility Statement
On behalf of its members, Splash is committed to the goal of providing equal access of its information and services to all members of the public and staff. As part of this commitment, Splash has a plan to prioritize, evaluate, remediate, and continuously improve the digital touchpoints within our services and programs and aims to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 A and AA standards. These guidelines not only help make technology accessible to users with sensory, cognitive, and mobility disabilities, but ultimately to all users, regardless of ability.
Technology Accessibility Compliance Coordinator
Splash has designated its Chair as its Technology Accessibility Compliance Coordinator (TACC) for technology and website disability-related accommodation. The TACC has received training in technology and website accessibility and will make updates in accordance with those best practices and requirements.
Feedback and Accommodation Requests
If you need any special assistance or a technology-related accommodation, please contact Splash’s TACC using one of the following:
· Phone: 303-858-8844
· Email: jlinden@semswa.org
· Mail: 7437 S Fairplay St, Centennial, CO 80112
Splash encourages individuals to submit feedback or request a reasonable accommodation that will help ensure access to the services we provide.
· Splash will do its best to respond to all communications within three (3) business days. The timeframe for producing accessible content will be on a case-by-case basis, with prioritized requests potentially addressed more quickly.
· Accommodation is provided at no cost.
· Accommodation requests that would impose an undue financial, technical, or administrative burden on state agencies may not be fulfilled as requested.
Linked Documents and Third Parties
Please note that our digital content may link to third-party websites that do not have accessible content or include documents provided by third parties. While we cannot control the accessibility of content provided by third parties, we are happy to assist any member of the public with reading and accessing content on our site.
Website Testing and Remediation
Splash has endeavored to achieve AA accessibility as measured against Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2) and implements both automated and manual testing of digital assets. We are aware, however, that a number of the checkpoints of the WCAG are subjective and there may be instances where interpretation may vary. Splash may use a variety of automated and manual testing tools including accessibility checkers, website accessibility remediation, and other testing tools including third-party vendors.
